Victoria Beckham, true to form is pretty much the leader of the fashion pack, opting for a stunning Dolce & Gabbana black dress for a night out with hubby David in LA.
Debra Messing, meanwhile looked amazing in a strapless charcoal grey number last week when she attended The Critics Choice Awards, as did the gorgeous Jessica Alba in a bright red dress.
This new extension of the classic puffball isn't a trend for everyone as it can make your hips look huge, even if they are perfectly slender.
Estelle sported a vile blue studded version recently, which apart from making her boobs look unnaturally crushed also made her look three times bigger than she actually was.
That said if you're brave enough to give it a go, stick to a few rules that will ensure you carry this look off perfectly. Firstly make sure the top half of you is fitted, so that it doesn't look like you're wearing a sack that just happens to billow at the bottom.
Also try and stick to dark colours as they are more flattering, but if you do want some colour pick out a funky print and team with plain accessories.
