In these harsh economic times, we've got a bit of fashion news that is sure to brighten up your day; using fashion twice in different ways is now very stylish and chic.
It's not as confusing as it sounds, all we mean is doubling up your use for things, so you spend less money but still have a fresh look each day.
For example try using a scarf for a belt or as a headband to update your style for spring and summer. The catwalk was awash with waist-clinchers and belts made out of leather, scarves and ribbons tied around various different parts of the catwalk models' bodies.
Amy Winehouse has long been a fan of sporting head scarves, as has the stylish Fearne Cotton who rocked a bow look last summer, when presenting with her also very fashionable pal, Holly Willoughby.
Topshop Unique had a very clear 80s inspiration with their SS09 collection using pop up prints on jackets and by making a headband out of an ordinary scarf.
Netting, feathers and statement necklaces from last season were also featured on the catwalks this year, so they too can be reworked into your look. Try using a necklace as a headband, taking care not to snag it on your hair and secure it into place with some hair grips.
We're also a big fan of using elasticated headbands as choker necklaces too, partly because thin headbands have made such a comeback of late. Build your look around that by adding long necklaces and beads to channel to boho style this summer.
Funky cuff and elasticated bracelets can also be worn as hair bobbles to give your hairstyle a fresh edge, like Dolce & Gabanna and Anna Sui sported on their SS09 catwalks.
