Work The Boy Look!

Work The Boy Look!

We hinted at this trend last week, with our hot tip for oversized shirts being the next big thing in fashion, but now it's time to embrace all things boy.

No we don't mean baggy jeans with Calvin's peeping out or scary tight tees that show man nipples, we mean a more refined style that look good on boys but even better on us girls.

In other words you can nick all your boyfriend's clothes and make them yours, or you can head to the high-street and pick up some boy inspired pieces that will mean you are bang on trend.

If you're unsure where to start, think Kate Moss and her stylish man blazer or Aggy with her stylish, but very male brogues. And then there is the boyfriend cardie, which has been doing the rounds all summer in the shops, and is set to stick around for another season yet.

Cardigan
£35: Warehouse, Leggings: £14 Urban Outfitters, Boots: £35 New Look

The boyfriend cardie is the easiest way to embrace this trend and teamed with leggings and some biker boots, you'll look the epitome of boy cool.

Blazer
£60: Topshop, Black Leather Trousers: £30, Dorothy Perkins, Red Heels: £35 Dorothy Perkins

Blazers are big news right now, with everyone from Daisy Lowe to Sarah Jessica Parker being spotted in them. If you want to be one step ahead, then bag a oversized blazer and team it with some leather trousers and sky-scraper heels for total domination.

Shirt
£20: New Look, Denim Shorts: £12 Peacocks, Bowler Hat: £12, Dorothy Perkins

This look has a little bit of Lily Cole about it, as she was spotted in a checked shirt and straw bowler over the summer. We've updated the look to an oversized shirt, a black bowler and little denim hotpants to finish. Wear with tights and pumps to keep you warm this winter.

Brogues
£40: Faith, Checked Dress: £15, Boohoo.com, Tights: £5, New Look

Because the brogues are so manly looking, this looked needed some femininity injected into it. We're using Aggy as our inspiration here, as this look practically screams her style, which can only be a good thing.
