Ada + Nik's e-cigarette jacket
Ada + Nik has created a leather jacket with a built-in e-cigarette pocket for their SS15 collection.
The fashion brand - founded by designer Ada Zanditon and model Nik Thakkar- unveiled its smoker-friendly bespoke jacket during the company's Spring/Summer 2015 runway show as part of London Collections: Men fashion week.
The luxurious jacket was designed in collaboration with premium e-cigarette brand NJOY and follows the two brands previously lighting up the runway when male model Jake Hold smoked an NJOY e-cig at Ada + Nik's SS14 fashion show last year.
The e-cig jacketNik Thakkar said: "Designing a leather jacket inspired by NJOY, a product that both Ada and I have loved for so long, was such a great pleasure. You'll notice the 'N' shape in the back yolk and in the seams, showcasing the exact same angles as the lines on the NJOY box. It is also technically two pockets as we have functionally and stylistically incorporated a large flap pocket with a smaller NJOY KING sized pocket. It's perfect for a 21st Century James Dean."
Ada + Nik has many celebrity fans including Miley Cyrus and MNEK.
The unveiling of the bespoke jacket was synchronized with the premiere of Ada + Nik’s short film ‘Carpe Noctem’, which was directed by award winning filmmaker Oz Thakkar, and features NJOY e-cigarettes throughout and the NJOY leather jacket. The film stars Oliver Walker (Atlantis) and Elarica Gallacher (Harry Potter).
Co-created by two established industry influencers, the Ada + Nik SS15 collection ‘Carpe Noctem’ features over 50 pieces with innovative high performance lightweight luxury fabrics.
