Models wear smart work wear at Betty Jackson but is it warm?

Wrapping up warm while looking stylish can be tricky but throw work wear into that mix and it gets even harder.

How do you find smart clothes for work that look good but still keep you warm in these cold January days? Luckily for you FemaleFirst has been on the case to pick out the perfect outfits for your weekday wardrobe.

We've scoured the high street to find you three outfits that tick all three boxes, warmth, stylish and smart. And the best thing is you can mix and match the pieces to give you plenty more looks, All you need to add is a pair of tights and little black heels.

Our first look includes this lovely blue pleated dress, £45 from Topshop. The cut of it and high collar makes it a perfect style for work wear. Keep yourself warm with this grey cardigan from Red Herring, £14.40

Add this gorgeous multi layer pearl necklace with flower detail, £14.75 from Asos. It picks up the outfit and moves it from simple to stylish work wear.

Bows are hot news right now so this cardigan, £35 from Miss Selfridge is perfect - stylish and warm. Add a tulip skirt, £25 from Topshop underneath and a simple t-shirt, £5 New Look, tucked into the waistband to add another layer for warmth.

Finally if tights just aren't doing it to keep you warm, we love these grey trousers, just £15 from New Look. Wear them with a knitted top, again with the on-trend bow detail, £35 Miss Selfridge.

Because the top is quite smart you can afford to wear a slightly more casual cardigan. This long grey one, £20 Miss Selfridge is great and the v-neck means you will still see the detail on the top underneath.

So there you have it, proof you can look smart, stylish and be warm!
