Finding the perfect outfit for Valentine's Day can be tricky. Do you go for traditional red, Scarlett Johansson style, or is that too tacky? Do you have to wear a dress or can a skirt look just as glamorous?
Fear not ladies because FemaleFirst is here to help. We've scoured the shops to find our favourite romantic outfits. Wether you want to go for a sexy, girly or classy look we've got the clothes for you.
First up, sexy. Full on red is totally acceptable for Valentine's Day. It looks particularly great on blondes and dark haired girls.
We love this Miss Selfridge dress, £50. The black panel down the sides helps you look slimmer and it adds a little twist to the traditional red. The gathered skirt will give the illusion of hips and a really sexy hourglass silhouette.
The best thing is you won't have to worry about anyone in the restaurant having the same outfit as you as Miss Selfridge have only made 200 of this limited edition dress. If you want it you'd better snap it up quickly!
If you're not feeling brave enough for red and want something a little more girlie and pretty you can touch on the Valentines Day theme with this Topshop skirt, £28 with pink hem. Colour blocking is a great trend for this season and the skater style is great for hiding a large bum.
Up the sex factor in the outfit by teaming it with a sheer shirt like this great Miss Selfridge shirt £25. Add a stack of chunky bangles to keep the outfit looking young.
If you want something dressy but find red or pink a bit cliche then try this classic little black dress. We love this Lipsy dress, £45. Draping fabric is everywhere at the moment and this dress picks up the trend perfectly. The shape of the dress emphasises curves to keep all eyes on you.
Come back every day this week and we will bring you more tips for Valentines Day, including hair, make up, accessories and underwear. Ooh lala!
