Etro SS09

Etro SS09

One of the hottest trends for SS09 is working the tribal look and with Kylie Minogue and Madonna already fans, it's high time we showed you how to replicate the look on the high-street.

We forecasted tribal and Aztec prints as once to watch last year and now as we hit the spring months, it's time to take it a step further and simplify it into day and night tribal looks.

British designers Matthew Williamson, Etro and Vivienne Westwood both used tribal prints in their collections recently, so you know it's a trend to take on board, even if you do have to tone it down a tad.

The key to perfecting the look is to not go overboard with your accessories, if your dress or top is already heavily printed, otherwise it will create a clash.

Simplify your look with one Aztec item and build around it. Multiply necklaces and stacks of bangles are fine, as long as you haven't tried to go tribal everywhere!

Here's our pick of the best from the high-street...
