Rachel Bilson chose turquoise for the Met Ball
We predicted turquoise of one of the big trends for Autumn/Winter 09 after it popped up on countless catwalk shows but it seems the colour is going to be big a season earlier thanks to celebrity fans.
Labels including Matthew Williamson, Diane von Furstenberg, Rebecca Taylor Zac Posen and Sienna Miller's Twenty8Twelve all included purple in their autumn winter collections proving it was a popular choice.
However this week we've seen stars including Jennifer Lopez, Rachel Bilson and Coronation Street's Samia Smith all shunning this season's red dresses for the green hue as they took to the carpet.
The stars all varied the styles of their dresses with J-Lo going for floor length and backless, Samia opting for a knee length girly, floaty dress and Rachel choosing tight and short. The colour looked great among the varying skintones too, from J-Lo's olive glow to Rachel's pale and interesting look, proving how versatile turquoise can be.
For once the high street has beaten the catwalk to it and you can get your hands on next season's 'It' colour now. We've picked out our three favourite turquoise lovelies for you.
