Hawaiin Prints at Gucci SS09
This summer is all about juicy tropical prints, that's right the Hawaiian print shirt is no longer just for embarrassing Dads. it is set to be the'It' print of the season.
At Gucci's Spring/Summer show model's strutted down the runway in tropical prints that pack a punch. There were Island patterned skinny fit trousers and dresses emblazoned with giant flower and leaf prints.
Eye catching, big prints are great as they hide a multitude of sins and the bright colours can only but you in a good mood. This look works on everything from tops, to dresses to even jeans, as Gucci proved, but you'll have to be really brave to try that look..
Hawaiian prints will look great teamed with this Summer's key pieces, gold gladiator sandals and a panama hat.
Give the trend a sexy twist with this cool bodycon dress, £45 from Topshop (below left). We love the graphic leaf and floral print. If you want a more casual look try this halterneck dress, £25 from Warehouse (below centre). Not only will it work for the daytime it will be a great beach cover for holidays.
Finally, for a cute girly look pick up this Oasis dress for £45 (above right). The pink and red colours are perfect for Summer.
Just remember to think big and bright and you're on the right track with this trend.
