Light-wash denim at Balmain
We're never happier than when we're in a good pair of jeans but as summer approaches and the days get warmer a pair of dark denims are not really weather appropriate. Thankfully though light-wash jeans are back in fashion.
A style previously rejected to the 80s-trends-to-forget bin we had hoped never to see these jeans again but oh how times change.
There are no more Simon Cowell style high waistbands or unflattering between skinny and baggy cuts, the noughties light wash-denim oozes style.
Light skinny jeans reigned supreme at Balmain and Meadham Kirkoff on the SS09 catwalks and celebrities like Lindsay Lohan are big on the look so now is the perfect time to jump on the light bandwagon.
Wear the jeans, skinny and long, baggy and cropped is just too retro for us, and with a bit of distressed detail. Wear with gladiator sandals and rocky T-shirts with a leather jacket for real edgy style. If you don't want to look too rocky try a floral or broderie anglais top for a bit of contrasting girly style.
