If you're torn over what accessories to go for this season then your first choice has got to be a statement belt to show off your waist. Dolce and Gabbana used some heavyweight belts on their spring/summer catwalk and celebrity followers Freida Pinto, Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer all followed suit wearing theirs to the label's Milan party.
Bigger is better with these belts, take inspiration from boxer's belts and go super thick and super detailed. Freida and Claudia's black belts were adorned with metal crosses, fabric bows and lots of gems, the busier the better.
These belts can be worn with any style dress, Claudia and Eva wore theirs over body-con dresses to highlight their waists while Freida created curves by wearing hers over a draped dress, nipping in her waist.
As this style of belts are so fussy it's best to wear them over a simple block colour dress like the label did on the catwalk, it looks really dramatic and allows the belt become the focus of the look.
Create your own unique statement belt by taking a plain, thick belt and attaching pins and bows all over it. You'll be ahead of the trends and have a one of a kind piece.
