Peg leg trousers have been on the fashion horizon for a while now but with celebrity fans like Keira Knightley and Mary-Kate Olsen and designers Diesel Black Gold and Osman Yousefzada taking the style to the Fashion Week catwalks in New York and London the trend could be about to take off big time.
The trousers sit just on your ankle and have an exaggerated shape at the hip, a bit like horse riding jodhpurs. They are definitely an acquired taste and can be a bit tricky to master, particularly if you're not keen on your thighs.
Osman Yousefzada kept his take on the look in icy, cold colours like white and pale blue. The shape curved out subtly at the hips and the high waist band balanced out the models shape.
Diesel's version of the trousers was a bit harsher with black and dark denim versions and metallic fabrics. Their curve was more exaggerated, ballooning out wider from the knees up.
If you're going to brave this look the trick is to balance out your silhouette. A simple, tight top is the perfect thing to work with peg legs, steer clear from anything baggy on your top half, the volume should only be on your legs.
Heels are a must with this look to make sure you ooze style from head to toe.
