ASOS pumps, £13

Quilted bags are one of those classic accessories that has remained timeless. The bags are just as popular now as they were when Chanel first introduced the 2.55 bag in February 1955 and now the trend has moved to a new field, shoes and celebs like Jade Jagger and Lily Allen are big fans.

Dolce and Gabbana and Armani have both showed quilted trousers in their runway shows but the trend is yet to catch on. Perhaps such a material is too much for such a prominent piece like trousers but a touch of the classic look on your feet is the perfect way to add a designer feel to your outfit.

Chanel, who else, has already used this trend. Their cute flat ballet pumps come in cream with a large interlocked C logo decorating the toes are topping our shoe wish list.

You can pick up a little piece of this luxury on the high street though. For a classic style with a bit of a twist try these Faith pumps, £24.50. We love the thin strap, it sets them aside from other standard pumps.

Nail the metallic trend as well as quilting with ASOS's gold pair, £13.

Left to right: Faith pumps, £24.50; Primark pumps, £4.

If you want to keep the look young and fun go for coloured quilted pumps. We love these orange and pink Primark pumps, just £4. The colours may seem a little garish but with a simple outfit they could work a treat.

One tip though, stick to flats with this look. Quilted heels might be too much for even us to handle.
