Back in September polka dot designs covered models at House of Holland, Agyness Deyn loved the look so much she kept her catwalk outfit on to party in later that night. Now, just in time for Spring, the trend has made the transition to the high street.
Holland used the pattern on leggings, tops, mini dresses, shoes, even jeans got the treatment.
He wasn't alone though, Michael Kors also used polka dot prints on full length dresses, skirts and macs in his Spring shows.
This trend is a great twist on the monochrome trend and the dots make a welcome change from the usual floral pattern seen on everything in Spring and Summer.
Wear your dots all over on a dress, if you really want to embrace the trend or break it up with a dotty skirt and block coloured top. If even that is too much polka dot accessories are a great way to road test the trend. Spotty shoes or bags will look great on any outfit.
Never mix spots though. A seperate top and skirt with different size dots just won't work.
Tick two trend boxes with Topshop's polka dot playsuit, £35, this season's must have piece in the perfect pattern. If you're not too sure on playsuits get this dalmation print dress, £35 from Dorothy Perkins. It comes in white on black and black and white.
Finally if all over spots just aren't your thing this French Connection skirt is just £15 but hurry, it's in the sale and won't be around long.
