Last week we told you how metallics had taken the beauty world by storm but we may be wearing the colours other than on our face if designers like Donna Karan are to be believed.
The designer sent model after model down the runway in gorgeous gold mini dresses in figure skimming silk fabrics. She was not alone though with everyone from Chloe to Prada opting for metallic shades in their Spring shades.
Silver came courtesy of Derek Lam with a geometric jacquard dress and Missoni's strapless full length all-in-one.
The metallic shades came in a variety of different fabrics from with Louis Vuitton and Burberry using leather and Marc Jacobs and D&G opting for lame but all outfits coming with that signature luxurious look.
If trying the gold and silver looks keep shoes nude, not only are they known for their leg lengthening properties but they are the only colour that will work with this trend as it lets the outfit stand alone.
So for a luxe touch in times of financial hardship gold and silver are the colours to be seen in this season.
