Distressed Denim at Diesel
The 80s really are having a revival at the moment and distressed denim is the latest look to have it's fashion moment again. If denim royalty Diesel say it's hot then who are we to argue!
Denim at Diesel's Black Gold Spring Summer show was a light shade but not quite stonewash, lightly scratched on the thighs with bigger rips below the knees. The jeans were rolled up at the ankles and worn with short, flat boots or pumps
The style may remind you of 80s popstars Bros but today's celebrities are catching on to the look too. Lindsay Lohan and Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle are already sporting ripped jeans.
The braver you feel the more rips the jeans can have. If too many tears scare you then go for lightly distressed denim.
Fortunately we don't have to wait for summer as the look is available on the High Street already. For a heavily ripped effect try these slouchy jeans, £45 from Miss Selfridge. Warehouse have a similar style, £40, but feature less rips for those who prefer the distressed look.
