According to a new survey, these three favourite films appear on the list of the most iconic pieces of film jewellery.
With 30% of the votes, Titanic topped the list commissioned by popular shopping channel QVC, for the appearance of the classic 'Heart of the Ocean' necklace worn by Kate Winslet.
The sapphire and diamond necklace that was famously dropped into the ocean at the end of the film was closely followed by the pearl necklace worn in Breakfast at Tiffany's and in fourth place was the ruby and diamond beauty from Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts.
The top 10 most iconic film jewellery pieces were voted as:
1. Heart of the Ocean – Titanic
2. Pearl necklace – Breakfast at Tiffany's
3. Marilyn’s diamond necklace – Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
4. Ruby and diamond necklace – Pretty Woman
5. Yellow diamond necklace – How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
6. Pink diamond – Pink Panther
7. Diamond choker necklace – Moulin Rouge
8. Diamond sunburst necklace – To Catch a Thief
9. Pearl earring – Girl With The Pearl Earring
10. Algerian love knot – Casino Royale
The yellow diamond necklace from How to Lose a Guy in 10 days also made it into the top five and is estimated to be worth £3.1m. This is closely followed by the Heart of the Ocean, said to be worth £2.2m and Julia Roberts ravishing ruby pendant worth £865,000.
To celebrate the launch of their new Diamonique range, QVC have had a pop up jewellery store in the heart of London today with replicas of the three aforementioned iconic pieces for sale in the range.
Unlike the originals' million dollar price tags, QVC's are £150, £275 and £320 respectively. So if you're a fan of the films or simply loved looking at the bling, why not treat yourself and add a little sparkle to your a/w wardrobe?
