Thanks to celebrities like David Beckham, Rylan Clark and Joey Essex winter thermals may not be classed so much as an unfashionable item anymore.

But who really cares anyway? If they're going to keep me warm in this weather then I'm going to be wearing them.

George at Asda have reported to have sold over 100,000 thermal garments already this year, so it's safe to say that we're all more concerned about keeping warm this January.

Research carried out amongst Asda’s facebook users revealed 92%* of women are not only encouraging their partner to wearlong johns but are happy to wear them themselves.

George Brand Director Fiona Lambert commented: "Thermals are an essential way to keep warm this winter. We're seeing lots of customers snapping up the now fashionable long johns with sales up 112% this week."
