Now, before you think we've taken leave of our senses, we don't actually mean wedding dresses, no we're talking about some gorgeous gowns, which have been very much inspired by the frilly creations.
Everywhere you look right now the catwalk and the high-street are being influenced by the spring romance trend, and what could be more romantic that getting married?!
Ok, enough of the sappy stuff, the fact is we're ditching the dark romance and gothic looks we sported last autumn and getting all dainty and cute for spring.
Lace, flowers, and frills are going to be everywhere and white, nude and beige will be the colours of choice, so stash those wet look leggings away until next season.
The more elaborate and creative, the better this summer as we'll all be gearing up to wear our ra-ra skirts with crocheted knits and baggy tops, decorated with delicate embroidery detail.
Temperley gave us one of the most gorgeous creations on her SS09 runway, which granted wouldn't be practical for everyday life but the sheer volume and ruffled detailing were stunning.
Dolce and Gabbana too sampled the wedding dress theme by showing off a elegant scalped ball gown, teamed with a oriental-style inspired silk kimono top.
Our favourite runway creation from the SS09 runway however, had to be the asymmetric corsage wonder that Giambattista Valli debuted on his catwalk last season- breathtaking doesn't even begin to cover it.
Now, while all these frocks are arguably dream dresses, it's clear that we're not all going to be running around in wedding dresses this summer- no this trend is all about sampling the style.
So with that in mind, here are some romantically inspired pieces from the high-street....
