Shop In Style

It's fair to say we never consider what we're wearing when we go shopping, as we're far more interested in the clothes we are going to buy, rather than those we're currently sporting.

Well ladies, it's time to stop looking like a bag lady when you step outside and start polishing your look a bit more, and FemaleFirst is here to help you do it!

Tracksuit bottoms, trainers and an old T-shirt may be comfy for traipsing around the shops for hours on end, but seriously it's a major fashion crime when there are so many better style options out there.

By all means be comfortable and practical, because lets be honest wearing a tiny mini-skirt, high heels and masses of jewellery is just going to be annoying, when you get all tangled up trying things on.

No, the way forward here is to be stylish and chic on the high-street, so here's our top tips for what to wear this weekend, while you hit the shops for some much needed retail therapy.

First things first, opt for flat pumps as opposed to trainers as this is a stylish compromise between the two flats, and ballet pumps are hot news for the summer too.

Avoid anything with buttons, as this will just take up too much time when you're trying things on, not to mention getting you all hot and bothered for no apparent reason.

Opt instead for a loose oversized T-shirt, as this will be cooler on your skin and easier to remove when in the changing rooms. Logo T-shirts and faded prints are big right now, so capitalize on this trend while going shopping.

Finally, skinny jeans are a no-no for going shopping as aside from being very hot to wear inside stores, they can also prove problematic in changing rooms too.

Instead go for a pair of basic black cotton leggings, which will be both stylish and comfortable for your shopping spree. Here's our pick of the perfect shopping outfit for this weekend...
