Hurrah! Christmas is almost upon us and the shops have now engaged in a flurry of sales, in a last bid attempt to get us parting with our hard earned cash.
The result? We get some serious festive bargains in time for Christmas Day and the shops get rid of old stock, just in time to make way for their new spring lines.
That's not to say there aren't some genuine good finds in the pre-xmas sales, far from it. In fact, some would argue they are even better this year thanks to the credit crunch.
Long gone are the days of New Year's Day and the sales that come with it, the high-street now start the festivities in the run up to Christmas, with sales peaking around Christmas Eve.
Of course, Boxing Day will see the sales increase ten fold and by New Years, we predict high street sales hitting a massive 75% off their autumn/winter lines.
However, if you really want to maximise your sales potential this Christmas, head out to the shops now, as many of the high street favourites will be open late this week to encourage you to spend.
Their party lines especially will be massively reduced this week, which is great news considering all the Christmas and New Year parties that you'll be attending.
Stock up on bright colours, one shoulder designs and party bags as these will carry you through to the New Year easily, while floral prints, oriental patterns and anything sequined are also great investment buys.
Check out Warehouse, Miss Selfridge, New Look and All Saints who all have 50% off their lines in the run up to Christmas Day, while other shops such as Topshop and H&M are just starting to add sale lines now.
Whatever shop you choose to visit, make sure you plan in advance, go extremely early and enjoy the festivities; Merry Christmas!
