We can't quite justify this as a huge trend alert, as arguably this is probably a look only for the skinniest of starlets or the bravest of women. Ladies, let us introduce Jeggings.

Half-jeans, half-leggings these beauties are set to be filtering down to the high-street any day now, and to be fair they don't look half bad when teamed with the right accessories.

Pixie Geldof, Beyonce and Mischa Barton are already fans of the look, choosing to team their Jeggings with loose slouchy style for a laid back look this summer.

As with all leggings, bum baring is a total no-no, unless of course you have a tush to rival Kate Moss's and then of course, feel free, but otherwise long tops are essential for this look.

Skinny jeans tend to make your thighs look massive as a rule, and it's the same unfortunately with jeggings, particularly if you go for the lighter denim looking ones.

Throw an old white shirt over a pair and team with pumps and a couple of necklaces to work a laidback day look, or why not opt for a sparkly vest top and heels for the evening, to elongate your legs and hide any lumps and bumps.

As with most trends, this is workable and the key is knowing what works well for you. Personally, we're loving the rebellious rock chic style this summer, so why not be brave and go for the bleached jeggings and statement tee to really stand out from the crowd?

Here's our pick of the best jeggings on the high-street...

Snow wash Jeggings, £19.99, River Island; Black Jeggings, £19.00, Asos; Skinny Jeggings, £20, Topshop
