The girly colour is definitely having a fashion moment, but will it last?
The shade is not for the faint hearted, as it is a drastic change from any hair colour.
It works well on blondes as the pigments from the dye sticks to the hair better.
It can be very flattering, but it’s hard to maintain, as the colour fades quickly due to washing.
This isn’t the first time pink hair has been fashionable, a few years back it was fuchsia pink which was the tone of choice. Celebrities such as Lily Cooper (formerly known as Lily Allen) and Kelly Osbourne braved the intense colour.
Over the past few months we’ve seen some bright shades to more subtle hues, but it’s the candy-floss shade that has been quite the hit with celebrities.
Even X Factor has jumped on this hair trend, Amelia Lily’s hair was dyed the marshmallow hue, but every week her hair has appeared to get lighter and lighter. This begs the question is this trend on its way out?
Like many trends, they fade away, and this trend is no exception, it is literally losing its colour.
