Paris Fashion Week drew to a close yesterday but seemed to save the best till last with a fantastic collection by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton which included bizarre giant bunny ears, breast exposing sheer tops and the obligatory statement shoulders.
Everything at Louis Vuitton was oversized from the bows in models hair twisted upright into bunny ear shapes to the 3D necklaces to the bow detail adorning the hips of skirts. Bows were everywhere too, as well as on hips and in the hair they made the belts on coats, ankle straps on shoes.
The collection opened with tulip skirted dresses with lace detail giving them a sexual feel. Lace even created the top panels of some dresses, leaving model's breasts exposed. There was more feminine styles with frilly, exaggerated sleeves and collars.
It wasn't just boobs on show though, there were also a lot of exposed bras as a result of open jackets, see-through tops and lace tops.
Jacobs followed the trend for exaggerated shoulders this season using poofy rounded shapes on tops and dresses but power dressing style squared off shoulders on coats.
He also touched on the 3D look with solid shaped necklaces and rouched green fabric folded into ruffles on one coat. It almost resembled a cabbage but still managed to look gorgeous.
As well as flirty, frilly dress were luxurious looking draped silk dresses in gold and pink hues.
It seems we will all be going fetish next season as yet again, models wore thigh high PVC boots on their feet, including one rich looking gold pair.
Jacobs revealed he was inspired by several French models, including former Chanel muse Ines de la Fressange.
He told reporters backstage: "All these wonderful French women have inspired great designers that I have always respected and admired and have always just had that joie de vivre, that joie de fashion and that joie de mode."
It seems that Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton may be a match made in heaven.
