Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney stepped up the sex appeal at Paris Fashion Week with lots of sheer pieces and underwear as outerwear. Stella never fails to disappoint and her autumn/winter collection at Paris Fashion Week kept up her high standards.

Despite it been winter Stella sent models down the catwalk in lingerie style dresses with sheer detail. There were sheer panels, sheer sleeves and sheer hems. Stella contrasted these feminine pieces with some tougher, fetish style pieces such as thigh high boots.

There were lots of voluminous pieces with tulip style dresses , peg leg trousers and oversized sleeves creating shape. Particularly on coats where long sleeves were structured and almost bubble shaped.

The colour palette largely insisted of black, cream and purple, which added a nice splash of colour to the wintry theme.

Models kept warm in cozy looking wool coats that almost looked like bathroom mats. There were non-leather biker jackets too, offering a younger look and tailored blazer jackets to smarten up dresses.

The one piece that we were not too sure on was a purple all-in-one. Since Stella seemed so keen to cover all flesh, with the polo neck jumpsuit covering everything but the models head, it was odd that the fabric went see-through exposing her breasts.

Overall though a great collection with some classic pieces.
