Nina Ricci made sure all eyes were on the floor when she sent models down the catwalk in boots with no heels at her Paris Fashion Week show.
The mid calf length boots in suede black feature gold detail up the front section and a very high platform but no heel. How the models made it down the runway in them beauties is a mystery to us!
The label isn't the first to try this look though. Stella McCartney's take on the style for her autumn/winter 09 collection was to have the heel further forward, incorporated it into the platform so there was a gap at the very back of the shoe.
Antonio Berardi's style was similar to the Nina Ricci look with thigh high pvc style boots with a thick platform and no-heel.
Berardi's version got the ultimate publicity boost when Victoria Beckham stepped out in them at a perfume launch back in September.

We're not sure the heel-less shoe is a look we'll be trying out ourselves but designers assure that walking in them is a doddle as the need for a heel is just psychological and a bigger than normal platform can balances the heel.
Models at Nina Ricci seem to agree telling Grazia that the shoes were actually really comfortable. Hmm we're not sure if we believe them.
