Michael Kors kept things nice and simple in his autumn/winter collection, which showed at New York Fashion Week yesterday, but managed to mix in some bright colours to keep things interesting.
Sexy knee high dresses and pencil skirts were the order of the day as models with slicked down hair and smokey eyes sashayed down the catwalk.
There were the standard winter colours, black, grey and brown but brighter colours were mixed in to lift the tone of the collection. Hot pink, lime green and bright orange were matched with the more somber colours.
There were lovely chunky knits and swing jackets for the weather and even a bright green fur coat and matching hat, not for everyday wear we suspect.
There were, of course, one shoulder dresses and leather pieces seem to be staying around with a strapless, figure hugging dress included in the collection.
The stand out piece was a strapless hot pink number, worn with an oversized silver links necklace. Not a typical colour for winter but a great, eye-catching change.
