Victoria Beckham showed off her second fashion collection yesterday in a presentation in a Waldorf Towers hotel suite in New York.
The range of 23 dresses were all structured and tailored, in-keeping with the first collection and Victoria's own style at the moment. Victoria even wore one of the dresses to the event, a silk number in pewter.
Victoria explained that unlike the first collection these dresses do not come with a built in corset.
She told The Telegraph: "This time, we have made the corset as a separate item. I’ve talked to my customers and found they would rather have the option of wearing the dresses without."
The dresses are a bit shorter, sitting just on the knee. The colours include violet, black, cream or pewter. One of the dresses, with a fold across the bust, was inspired by Victoria's Vera Wang wedding dress.
As well as dresses there are a new collection of capes in charcoal or tweed, designed to wear over evening dresses.
Victoria says of the pieces, which are priced from £850 to £4,900: "I see these are investment buys. They’re designed to be worn from year to year, not season to season."
