Barbie- The Runway Show is on today

Barbie- The Runway Show is on today

After yesterday's fashionable debut, today brings more of the same with Lacoste kicking things off at 10am, in the fashion tents of Bryant Park.

We're expecting great things from this label today, as last autumn they wowed the crowds with their ski-slope inspired fashion; will they do something similar this year, or go in a new direction entirely, we'll have to wait and see.

At 11am, it's the turn of Georges Chakra to take to the world stage on the promenade. He's famous for his couture wear that can be worn more than  once- a commodity which I'm sure we'll appreciate all the more now the world in recession.

The afternoon kicks off with design duo Andy & Debb showing their latest collection in the salon, followed by Adam showing at 2pm. After a lukewarm response to his spring collection last year, will Adam be able to pull of a spectacular show this year?

At 3pm, we have the most exciting event to ever grace New York Fashion Week, in our opinion anyway; Barbie- Runway Show.

Showing in the fashion tents and featuring creations by Very Wang, Diane Von Furstenberg, Betsey Johnson and Ralph Lauren, we predict this will be THE EVENT of the season.

After all that excitement, we're calming things down a tad with Verrier at 6pm in the salon.

Previously voted in 2004 as Parsons' Designer of The Year, the label has gone from strength to strength, showcasing a collection which is classical, individual and glamorous.

Bringing things to a close on a jam-packed day two is Monarchy Collection, showing their new vision for autumn 09. Expect to see plenty of eclectic T-shirts and some inventive denim pieces when they show on the promenade.
