Peter Pilotto AW09

FemaleFirst's 'One to Watch' winner Peter Pilotto showed their autumn/winter collection at London Fashion Week yesterday and it did not disappoint.

It was a colour explosion on the runway but darker, warm colours perfect for the autumn season. Pilotto's pieces had a paint splatter effect with different colours all working together to create unique stylish pieces. There were neon, foil-like stripes and swirly patterns with lots of blue and red been used.

Pilotto was not afraid to clash different patterns though mixing tops and skirts in different colour combinations, but we preferred it when he let the pattern do the talking by teaming a colourful skirt with simple black or beige tops.

The models either wore flat, clog-like shoes or thigh high baggy boots in black leather.

The winter coats were either smart, long button up numbers or cropped suede pieces. There were futuristic inspired structured, volume coats decorated with all over sparkles too.

The designers also used 3D embellishment on a dress and cropped shrug decorated all over with black, blue and green feathers on the dress and black, red and orange on the shrug.

Pilotto contrasted a colourful dress with simple black when a red patterned dress appeared with draped black sleeves attached.

Ruching was a big look, creating shapes around models hips and the asymmetrical dress looks set to stay around for a while.

Peter Pilotto designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos proved with this collection that they are worthy of the hype surrounding the label and we can't wait for these pieces to become available.
