Ossie Clark AW09

Ossie Clark AW09

Ossie Clark stormed London Fashion Week yesterday showcasing some 70s floral prints and plenty of retro wonders for his Autumn/Winter 09 collection.

We loved the white tights and black patent shoes combo, as showcased on most of his models. They had an almost childhood retro appeal, and we adored the references to seventies London.

Taking some inspiration from the Orient theme this season, Clark updated his look with a more seventies twist, using larger floral patterns and a clinched in style waist.

Continuing the floral theme, he then showcased a shirt in a pansy print pattern complete with a simple black mini-skirt. It wasn't the most unique look we've ever seen but it was wearable and a nice edition to the collection.

There was a standout red belted woollen coat with exaggerated collar that looked spectacular, paired with back combed hair on the model and dramatic eyes. It was cool, edgy, dramatic and sophisticated- we loved it!

Bright orange jumpsuits stole the show, while the graphic print suit dress almost looked like paint had been splattered on it- in a good way of course!

Dramatic plunging necklines, sheer shirts and high waisted flares soon followed reinforcing the seventies theme, and were well received by the fashion pack in the front row.

Tailored jackets contrasted the earth mother billowing dresses, which almost floated down the catwalk, making it one of our fave collections of London Fashion Week so far.
