Kanye West showed off his first designs, a pair of tomato red sneakers at Louis Vuitton's menswear show in Paris yesterday.
The hightops would not look out of place in one of Kanye's videos and encapsulated his colourful and cool style. They are sure to be the next big thing in casual footwear for men and women alike.
The luxurious sneakers feature the LV logo on the top of the tongue and Vuitton's signature embossed motif along the outside of the heel. They also feature a quilted flap at the back.
Kanye said: "The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie Dune. Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different."
Kanye himself wore the red sneakers with a matching scarf as he watched the show from the front row.
As well as red the sneakers come in white, beige, black and blue. They will be going on sale in June.
