High collars may not be initially on your hot list for the upcoming months, especially if on some occasions they do make you look like a priest, but when they are making waves in the fashion world, it's time to take a risk.
GG's Blair Waldorf knows a thing or two about taking fashion risks, and in the next few episodes, you'll see her sporting frills and collars like she walked straight off the catwalk.
Speaking of the runway, Chanel's show under the masterful Karl Lagerfeld really went all out with monochrome, tweed and high collars this season in Paris, and what's more the fashion pack lapped it up.
Here in London, yours truly witnessed high collars on John Rocha's stunning Anne Boleyn, Tudor-style catwalk, which just goes to show you how fashion forward we Brits really are.

So how can you work this trend without looking utterly ridiculous? Well, it's all down to what you wear with it that's the key to successful dressing.
Blair for example keeps the rest of her look simple with a quilted black skirt, green fishnet tights, black pumps and a gorgeous tartan bag. Although it really is a look purely for her character, she's not tried to overpower the shirt by over accessorising.
That seems to be the key with this trend; let the top do the talking. We'd recommend tall people accentuating their height by teaming this look with tailored trousers, while for the petite among you, follow Blair's lead by wearing your high collar with a cute mini-skirt.
