Madonna, Ally Hillfiger and Margherita Missoni have all been spotted working the geeky look of late, by sporting huge black rimmed glasses.
Clearly they have been taking fashion advice from boy wizard, Harry Potter, who is famous for his horn-rimmed spectacles, although he is much more fashion forward in the movies, granted.
Despite this is not being the most attractive of looks, we have to admit there is a certain appeal to wearing crazy specs and channeling your inner geek, complete with braces, checked shirts and long socks.
In fact, we think this is just the beginning of a super trend due to take full force next year. We've already covered neon as being a big trend for spring and with that comes playful retro glasses, bright T-shirts and fun prints, which could well be where this geek mini-trend fits in.
Blokes are also not immune from getting a little geeky with Mark Ronson and Pete Wentz also donning some super sized specs, and of course the original fashion icon of specs, Gok Wan too.
With clashing prints set to be big news next year, mixing and matching your look and taking inspiration from 'geek' movies will serve you well for looking fashionably forward come spring/summer.
