SOAR from Tim Soar: Spring - Summer 07 collection is a playful take on fashion’s affair with 1950s tailoring.

While drawing references from the past, Tim Soar presents us with a line of quirky yet dangerously smart staples.

The collection unfolds a new boxy silhouette, which hints at the by-gone past as well as the not-so-distant future. With impeccable attention to detail Tim sources fabrics of the highest qualities.

He also discovers how to manipulate old school glamour by using fashion-forward fabrics such as metallic tweeds, coated cottons and linens, lacquered silks and silk taffetas: without compromise!

Bucol, undoubtedly one of France’s more famous fabric producers, allowed Tim to utilise the resource after Chanel purchased the company for its strict exclusivityAfter a successful launch with London’s B Store last Autumn Winter, Liberty’s have followed suit; providing Tim with a perfect introduction to an international platform.

"Soar spotted the trend for a return to tailoring in menswear but gave it his own personal twist - think 50's Ted meets 80's Bowie. One of the best reactions we have had to any new brand." Matthew Murphy, B Store / London

But what could easily become labelled as retro-dandy, is a very refreshing outlook on formal, wearable clothing. SOAR Spring/Summer 07 collection is available from B Store and Liberty London now.
