Emmy Awards attendees saw red...
It wasn't just the carpet that was red for last night's annual Emmy awards, as the biggest A Listers turned up in their hottest crimson numbers for the star-studded ceremony.
Everyone from Lea Michele, Kate Winslet to Kerry Washington were decked in this season's trendiest colour showing that it is as classic and elegant as it is sexy.
There were very few fashion misses from last night's awards show hosted by hilarious Glee actress Jane Lynch (Sue Silvestor). Nominees, winners and guests stuck to simple lines and classic style with very few going for over-stated fashion, prints or shockers.
As well as the sea of red swarming the stage, aqua was also a popular choice among the attendees. The colour was flesh and flattering to both a tanned and pale complexion.
A hit of the night had to go to actress Julia Stiles for her pale silver, strapless choice. She oozed class and sophistication, looking better and more at home on the red carpet than she has in years.
And of course, there were those who favoured the slimming, stylish black including Glee's Naya Rivera.
Though it doesn't hurt to be a little adventurous with your fashion, the elegant Emmy's have shown us that outfits don't have to be complicated to be knock out.
Simple sophistication and classic lines are the real show stoppers on the red carpet.
