Yellow may been talked up as the colour of summer but if you want something a bit darker to see you through the transitional months before Spring then take a leaf out of Gucci and DKNY's books and opt for a flash of electric blue.
Both designers used the colour for dresses at their spring summer shows with DKNY showing a cute embellished mini dress with matching boots and scarf while Gucci went for a full length floaty gown, proving this shade is perfect for formal events.
Gucci even brought a bit of colour clash into the look by mixing in green eyeshadow. It shouldn't work but it does!
The perfect shade for the moment, it's bright enough to make an impact but not as summery as yellow. Another bonus is that this shade suits all skintones so wether your pale and interesting a la Dita Von Teese or a dark beauty like Rihanna you'll look gorgeous in electric blue.
Mix this colour with white to get to achieve the luxe sports trend or use it to brighten up a black outfit.
