We're all looking for ways to get a new wardrobe without spending lots of money so why not try a swap party, after all you always seem to like your friends clothes better than your own!
We've touched on clothes swapping parties in the past but we're just coming round to the sheer brilliance of them, especially in these credit crunch times. You can find a new outfit, save money and de-clutter your wardrobe all at the same time.
There are some rules of etiquette when it comes to swapping though, luckily we're here to help you make sure your swapping goes to plan.
First of all, select your guests wisely. Choose friends with similar tastes and budgets in clothes to you. It may sound harsh but you don't want to be showing up with bags full of French Connection dresses only to find your swapping for Primark's finest T-shirts. If you don't want to leave anyone out agree to bring items of similar value if possible.
When choosing what clothes you want to swap be ruthless, if you haven't worn it in more than 3 months it has to go. After all if you ever change your mind, the clothes will only be at your friends house so you can always borrow them back.
Make sure everything you bring is freshly washed and in good condition, after all you wouldn't be too happy if your mate turned up with a selection of creased, red wined stained items.
Finally a swapping party gives you the opportunity to be braver in your style than usual. You can try different things that you normally wouldn't consider, your friends cast-offs can become your inspiration for a whole new look!
