The Spring/Summer 13 RTW Collection
Raf Simons was appointed as Creative Director at Dior this year, after the whole John Galliano debacle.
And we all know that was some very big shoes to fill.
Galliano’s collections were beautiful and bold and most of all they were instantly recognisable in a sea of red carpet dresses – much like other fashion houses.
Raf had his work work cut out for him whilst we waited for his debut collection, the Spring 2013 Couture collection in July, it was his first ready-to-wear collection for Spring/Summer 2013 that was the most highly anticipated collection of the year.
These are the pieces that people would be buying and wearing regularly – would they still fit the aesthetic of the brand and would they have the Dior flair that we’ve come to know and love?
They did and the show was a roaring success.
