Yesterday we brought you Caryn Franklin and Boots Optician's tips for finding glasses to suit your face shape, today we look at choosing the right style of specs for you, this time depending on your colouring.

Any fashion-forward female knows that matching your skin tone to anything you wear is highly important and this is just as important with glasses.

If you have a cool colouring, ash blonde with light coloured eyes and skin or grey hair and light skin Caryn advises that you choose rimless and semi rimmed frames with neutral trims to flatter your subtle colouring. Or you could try plastic framed styles in opaque or frosted tones like light brown, grey, silver, pink, lilac, blue greens, white, beige or lemon.

If you have warm colouring, dark blonde or blonde with dark eyes and warm skin tone or brunette with olive or darker skin tones, then Caryn suggests opaque plastic frames in peach, golden brown, ivory, bronze, yellow, orange, turquoise, red, green, black, royal blue, tortoiseshell, purple or coral.

Perhaps you have dramatic colouring, dark hair and pale skin with light eyes or grey hair and dark skin. You will have high contrast pigments and need to harmonise with the most dominant colour feature but lean towards cool colouring. Caryn says that rimless and semi-rimmed may also work well for you or choose plastic frames in cool blue, navy blue ash, purple, pewter, beige, hazel, cool greens, grey browns or maroon.

Finally if you have a rich coloring, with dark hair and dark skin tones than you need similar rich and exuberant tones on your face so choose from auburn, deep green, maroon, black, tortoiseshell, purple, royal blue, tangerine, ochre, gunmetal, violet or cerise.

We all spend plenty of time ensuring our outfits look perfect so do the same with your glasses too, as they are probably the hardest working piece in your wardrobe!
