We thought the days of Brits wearing socks with sandals were firmly behind us, but no, the ugly trend has reared its head once more, and at one of the most fashionable music events too!
Coachella always gives us some amazing looks, as stylistas from all around the world treat us to some unique fashion, but really socks and man sandals- how can that ever be cool?
Well, just ask Chloe Sevigny, who debuted thick black socks with some beige sandals over the weekend, and what's more looked really comfortable in doing so too.
The funny thing is that Chloe looked pretty quirky and not at all like a fashion victim, which begs the question- are there some exceptions to the no socks with sandals rule?
Ankle socks are set to be big news this summer, but paired with ballet pumps as opposed to sandals.
That's said, we can kind of see this trend catching on with high-heeled sandals, especially on the high-street.
Chloe paired her look with a simple floral tea dress, black T-shirt and black sunglasses, which meant that her obvious socks and sandal pairing stood out by a mile.
We're not completely opposed to the idea, say if you had a nasty fungal infection or needed a pedicure, then covering your feet is a wise move, but adding some sandals to that look, we're not so sure.
So, we put it to you dear FemaleFirst reader- Socks with Sandals, are they ever acceptable in polite society?
