Cara Delvingne was without-a-doubt the standout model of the year, she’s become so high profile it’s hard not to walk past a newsstand and see her beautiful face grace the cover or be inside one of the magazines.
Not only have we, Femalefirst, honoured her as our pick of Model of the year, she was also given the prestigious award by the British Fashion Council at the British Fashion Awards this November.
Thanks to a number of editorials including the Chanel Resort campaign, magazine covers, including the beautiful ID cover where a tarantula covers her eye and most notably walking in 31 shows during Fashion Month in September it means that this year has been Cara Delevinge’s breakthrough year.
Let’s not forget her introduction to Victoria’s Secret too, she walked in the famous show this year – an honour for any girl.
Thanks to her stunning looks, including those envious teenage eyebrows and tiny frame, Cara’s profile is only set to rise.
It’s not just her incredible shots that make her an amazing model, it’s the fun side too. You’ll often find her pulling funny faces proving that she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
Next year she’s only going to continue to grow – I wonder when she’ll cover Vogue?
Special mention also has to go to Alessandra Ambrosio who was chosen to wear the Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra this year. The diamond encrusted bra is the standout piece in the show and ensures that any model who wears it is most definitely going to receive a huge amount of jobs this year – just look at Miranda Kerr who wore it last year.
