The oriental trend is a difficult one to wear, step out in a kimono and chopsticks in your hair and you may look like you're on your way to a bad fancy dress party but the look is going to be big this summer.
Michelle Obama's new favourite designers Basso & Brook went oriental crazy with their Spring/Summer collection, showing silk pieces covered in pretty colourful prints and Katy Perry was a fan snapping up one of their suits.
The key is to keep dresses short, to avoid the dressing gown/kimono comparisons and to keep the print young and fresh.
Check out this great piece from Oasis, £95, that uses classic monochrome colours with splashes of colour to break it up. It has a real Basso & Brooke oriental feel to it!
The batwing sleeves and origami folds make it a trend hat trick for the dress, we wonder if Miss Perry will be snapping this one up when she sees it!
