Female First take a look at what makes Audrey Hepburn so great and show you how to steal her sexy screen siren look.
In Breakfast At Tiffany's Audrey showed us the brilliance of the little black dress. The Givenchy creation she wore in the film is one of the most famous film costumes ever and it's that image that pops into most people's head when they think of her.
Check out the Audrey Hepburn inspired LBD's we found on the high street.
Audrey loved simple cuts with clean cut lines that showed off her gorgeous tall and slim figure. She was very different from the curvy Marylin Monroe and Lauren Bacall that came before and all the top designers loved to dress her doll-like body.
The Breakfast at Tiffany's look is easy to recreate and can translate through any fashion generation. Here's what we created from the offerings on the high street this season.
Items included: Black panel dress, Star by Julien MacDonald Debenhams (£45), Long evening gloves, Debenhams Collection (£10), Square toe platform shoe, TopShop (£55), Heart mesh belt, Topshop (£30), Knot buckle belt, Topshop (£15), Elastic roller buckle belt, Miss Selfridge (£15)
As well as the infamous Tiffany outfit, Audrey also brought capri pants to the wardrobes of the masses. Films such as Funny Face and Sabrina saw her showing off her playful side in cropped pants and flat ballet shoes.
Audrey loved to create great silhouettes and was particularly fond of turtle necks and fitted trench coats. She rarely wore any bright colours or bold prints but preferred to keep things low key accessorising black dresses with wide belts and coloured scarves- a trend that is just as popular at the moment.
Hubert Givenchy was one of Audrey's favourite designers and he created the wardrobe for many of her most famous films including Breakfast at Tiffany's, Funny Face and How to Steal a Million.
