Alexa Chung is a fan of espadrilles- are you?!
Espadrilles seem to divide the country each year as to whether they are fashionably chic, or horrendously out of style, so with summer fast approaching it's time to debate the subject once again!
Alexa Chung was recently papped in her espadrills, making them a hot topic for discussion, as if someone as cool as the Chung is sporting them this year, then they are bound to become fashionable-right?!
Well, personally we're big fans of espadrilles her at FF, because they don't pinch like heels, they don't give you blisters like pumps and they don't hurt the balls of your feet like wedges.
Yep, they're pretty much the perfect shoe, and after they came back to the fashion forefront a few years ago, they've been hovering around in the background ready to strike this summer.
However, some people genuinely think these are pretty ugly and unflattering on their feet, hence the great debate each summer!
We can understand that really, considering the original espadrilles were flat, boring and looked like men's slippers, but now they've been given a radical make-over to bring them up to date.
Woven wedge heels, bright canvas colours and nautical themes will all be heading to the high-street this month, but the question is- will you be wearing them this summer?!
