Zac Posen thinks this year's Met Ball will provide us with some "iconic moments".
The designer can't wait to attend the high-profile fashion event on May 5, which celebrates the new 'Charles James: Beyond Fashion' exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and believes Anna Wintour's decision to limit the guest list will make for an even more dramatic display on the red carpet.
He told E! Online: "I think people are going to look spectacular! I think we are going to see lots of major, major gowns and very strong iconic moments. You know, it's a very cut down list so I think everyone that's going is expected to shine."
Zac, who dressed Uma Thurman in a silk olive-coloured gown for the gala last year, also revealed he was going to be wearing another couturier's work for the first time.
He teased: "I had the experience for the first time ever in my life having couture made for me by another American designer, and its been an incredible experience. I am very excited to debut that at the Met in honor of James."
The 'Project Runway' judge is excited about the Charles James exhibition, which officially opens May 8 and will feature 70 outfits, making it the largest show ever devoted to the designer, who passed away in 1978.
He added: "I have had a sneak peek of the exhibit, and it looks spectacular. In a few weeks Anna and myself as well as a few other special people will cut the ribbon."
