A Victoria's Secret model is fighting for her life following a tragic jet surfing accident in Italy last week.
Yfke Sturm, 33, is in a coma with a fractured skull and severe spinal injuries after she was ploughed into by another rider when she fell off her motorised board and attempted to swim to shore while holidaying near the island of Ischia.
Emergency services raced to the scene and the Dutch beauty, who now resides in London, was airlifted to hospital, where she is being treated by specialist doctors.
It is thought the injuries to Yfke's spinal cord may lead to permanent paralysis, according to the MailOnline.
The horrific incident sadly comes just one month after the blonde beauty gave birth to her first child, son Alexander.
Just three weeks ago, the supermodel took to her official Facebook page to share a sweet snap of her baby boy - thought to be the son of her boyfriend - as she announced his arrival.
Clutching the little one close to her chest and planting a kiss on his tiny head, she wrote: "Words can not descibe how excited we are for the arrival of our son Alexander!! (sic)."
Yfke is known for strutting the catwalk on behalf of Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Chanel, as well as fronting the covers and inside pages of Vogue and ELLE magazine.
