Victoria Beckham has inspired Hayley Hassellhoff to start a plus-size clothing range.
The 24-year-old model - who is the daughter of 'Baywatch' actor David Hassellhoff and his former partner Pamela Bach - has admitted the 42-year-old fashion designer, who launched her couture line "from ground zero" motivated Hayley to do the same.
Hayley - who has recently revealed her debut collection for the plus-size label Elvi - told the Telegraph.co.uk: "I aspire to be her [Victoria Beckham], because she started from ground zero and built her way up to a couture line. That's what I want to do, and it's why I'm working with Elvi. I love clean lines and want everything to be chic and simple. That often doesn't come through in plus-size."
And the 'More than Puppy Love' actress has revealed her whole family are very proud of her and her father has congratulated her on her success of breaking into the fashion industry.
She explained: "Dad called me yesterday and said, 'You did it!' He knows I've wanted to design my own line since I was a little girl."
Meanwhile Hayley - who signed to a plus-size modelling agency in 2007 - has revealed her body began to develop at a young age, which made her feel very conscious and "uncomfortable" about her womanly frame.
She said: "I was always aware I never looked the same as other girls. I had boobs before anyone else and wore a bra from the age of nine. I found it all very uncomfortable.
"[But now,] I totally see myself as normal-sized."
And Hayley is pleased to see the plus-sized modelling industry has evolved.
She said: "The number of bigger girls on the catwalk is ever-growing.
"When I was 14 and starting out, there was nothing, but now there's so much plus-size on the high street - even in high fashion."
