Victoria Beckham gets her love of fashion from her mother.
The singer-turned-designer claims her earliest childhood memory is watching her mother get dolled up for a night out and longing to be as glamorous and "fabulous" as her.
Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video for British VOGUE magazine, she said: "I always loved clothes as a child. I used to really enjoy watching my mother get dressed up.
"My earliest childhood memory is sitting on her bed watching her and her attention to detail, putting her make-up on and doing her hair, she always looked fabulous."
Victoria is a far cry from her usual perfectly polished, power-dressing self in the cover shoot, donning a baggy jumper and wellington boots to show off her natural beauty as she poses in a rural Surrey location.
The mother-of-four - who has children Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, Cruz, nine, and two-year-old daughter Harper with her husband David Beckham - revealed that she experiments with her clothing depending on her mood.
She said: "I use clothes to express how I'm feeling myself and when designing clothes I like to empower women, I want to make them feel strong and beautiful and confident."
Victoria has big expansion plans ahead for the next year, with her London store opening keeping her extremely busy.
She concluded: "What's next for me? I have my next store opening hopefully in September in Dover Street in London and I'm opening an office in New York so I've been very, very busy at work, juggling the work and the kids and David but it's all good, I feel very blessed, very lucky and I am having fun."
