The 53-year-old designer attended the premiere of 'The True Cost' - which explores the environmental impact of high street clothing production - at The Curzon cinema in Bloomsbury, London, last night (27.05.2015).

The docu-film was produced by Colin Firth's wife Livia, who is the Creative Director of Eco-Age, a company which aims to increase the value of businesses through sustainability, attracting a host of stars including Tom's fellow fashion designers Nicole Farhi and Stella McCartney, singer Annie Lennox and Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet.

Livia, 45, revealed she has high hopes for the exposé - which explores everything from using pesticides in the production of cotton, to discarded clothing clogging landfills - and hopes the film will encourage people to start consuming "a bit more consciously".

She previously said: "It's really a journey into fast fashion and, I'm not sure how to say it politely, but basically how f**ked up this whole thing is.

"Things are complicated and murky and totally unjust and wrong, so it's a big call to reform, a big call to consumers to try to take a step back and start consuming maybe a bit more consciously."
